1.4. Conference Calls

Placing Conference Calls

There are two ways to create a conference call. You can either initiate a conference call directly using the Confrn soft key option, or you can initiate a conference call while multiple calls are in progress, adding all parties (up to a maximum of three) to the conference call.

To initiate a conference call:

  1. Press the more soft key and then press the Confrn soft key (this will automatically select a new line and place the other party on hold).
  2. Dial the 3-digit extension or 9 + (local or long distance number).
  3. When the party answers, press the Confrn soft key again and the party will be added to the conference call.
  4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 to add additional parties to the conference call. A maximum of three people can be in one conference call (including you).

To initiate a conference call while multiple calls are in progress:

  1. Highlight a call using the SCROLL key.
  2. Press the more soft key twice.
  3. Press the Join soft key. That call will be placed on hold while you connect another party into the conference call.
  4. Repeat steps 1 – 3 until all the parties you want to include in the conference call have been added (maximum of three parties, including yourself).

Items to Consider for Conference Calls
